“There are no big plans for my birthday. In fact, it is quite the opposite. I am planning to stay at home and spend some quality time with my family,” says the actress while flitting in between shots. However, sources say that her sister Rhea and friends have planned a surprise party for her, but the venue of the party couldn’t be confirmed. It is learned that Sonam might just be whisked awayto a suburban night spot.
Sonam, who made news for her debut at Cannes last month, elaborates, “It’s been quite a busy time for me. I haven’t been able to give time to my family. I think they deserve my time and attention on my birthday and what would be better when I have my sister, brother, mom and dad to wish me on my birthday” asks the actress who turns 26.
The actress has also just recovered from an acute stomach ailment. “With so many projects on my shoulders, I cannot afford to fall sick anymore. I am very careful about what I am eating and drinking these days,” she adds.
So what is Sonam’s dream gift? “Oh, I just love diamonds! They are surely a girl’s best friend,” she says.

Jaipur: A complaint has been filed in a court in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city against Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and makers of Dum Maaro Dum for an alleged indecent and obscene dance number in the Hindi film.
The movie's director Rohan Sippy, producer Ramesh Sippy and music director Pritam Chakraborty have been named in the complaint.The complainant, Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Pal Road area in Jodhpur, some 330 km from state capital Jaipur, approached a metropolitan magistrate's court and filed the complaint against a song in the film on Wednesday.
Kumar has alleged that his religious sentiments were hurt by mention of some Hindu deities in the song."The court is to record my statement on June 6th," said Kumar. (IANS)
Dum Maaro Dum is a crime thriller film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar. Deepika has done an item number in the movie. The film was released on April 11. Prior to the release of the film it was the Goa tourism that had issues with film. Then there were reports of Dev Anand being upset with the title song.Even after a month of the release of the film, there is not rest for the director and producer
